NICOLE STINES

Nicole is an experienced, strategic Human Resources executive who spent years working within rapid growth, VC-backed SaaS tech startups. Her experiences range from being a team of 1, owning and executing all aspects of HR from top to bottom, to being a strategic leader, overseeing HR teams at scale. In either scenario, employee experience, wellbeing and culture were always the #1 focus and core of her work.

 

Through Nicole’s experiences as an athlete all the way to the collegiate level, she found the parallel between creating a strong team dynamic on the field and how that translates into the workplace. She fell in love with HR when she realized she could transfer her knowledge and skills from athletics into a career that consisted of fostering and empowering incredible teams and workplaces to achieve big goals, just like she used to do on the field.

 

Nicole graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Strategic Communications, and additionally went on to complete her Masters in Human Resources Development with an emphasis in People Analytics from Villanova University. Nicole also holds a Society of Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential, and sits upon the Forbes Human Resources Council, where she contributes alongside other HR Executives and thought leaders on the latest trends in HR. Most recently, Nicole became a founding member of Rippling Wavemakers, a select group of Rippling’s HRIS power users who strategically use their product to scale HR teams and strategy.

 

Though residing in San Diego, CA, Nicole is an avid skier. She’s a proud yearly Ikon Pass holder who one day dreams of skiing Corbet’s Couloir in Jackson Hole, WY. When Nicole isn’t online or on the slopes, you can also find her working out, at the beach, cooking or baking a new recipe from scratch in the kitchen or reading a good book.
