JIMENA ZUBIRIA

Jimena is an experienced People leader with a deep passion for supporting founders and executives in building thriving company cultures through modern People practices. 

 

Most recently, Jimena was a founding member of TheVentureCity, a global venture capital fund based in Miami, serving as VP of People and Communications for 5 years. At TheVentureCity, Jimena supported and advised over 50 startups ranging from seed stage to series B in all things People & Culture, working directly with CEOs and other C-level executives. Her focus areas include building high-performing teams, developing talent strategies, coaching leaders, and designing values-driven cultures.

 

Prior to TheVentureCity, Jimena led a multi-functional team of consultants at Google London covering the EMEA region for 6 years. Jimena was an early team member at Wildfire Interactive UK, building and managing all post-sale teams including technical support, account management and account strategy for EMEA prior to its acquisition by Google for $450m.

 

Jimena started her career in digital advertising at *S,C,P,F Miami, followed by digital account management roles at The Vidal Partnership, a leading multicultural advertising agency in New York. She is a Cum Laude graduate of Florida International University's Honor College and currently resides in Miami with her husband and two children.
